WINTER STUDIO NEWS: INTRODUCING 'SETS' + SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS EXHIBITION + A COLLABORATION WITH ARTIST LANE

A glorious walk in the Dorrigo National Park, soon to be expanded into a spectacular new multi-day escarpment walk as part of a $56.4 million investment. I am so excited about this - you can find out more here!

I am back from my Bellingen and Byron Hinterland holiday, just in time for the end of financial year and to let you know about my recent solo show - VIVIDA + my upcoming exhibition in the Southern Highlands + my collaboration with ARTIST LANE + a 24 hour - ‘SETS’ EOFY SALE!!!

Opening Night of ‘VIVIDA’ at Thienny Lee Gallery, Edgecliff, Sydney. May 5, 6pm. Opened by Jennifer Bott AO

Thank you so much to everyone who came to my very first SOLO exhibition - ‘VIVIDA’! We had an amazing opening night, with over 130 people attending. Some of you couldn’t come, but sent me fabulous messages of support from across Australia and around the world. Thank you!!! I am incredibly grateful to Jennifer Bott AO who opened the exhibition so thoughtfully and articulately. Jenny and I worked together at NIDA when she was CEO and I was Director of Design, it was really thrilling to hear her reflect on our time together and for her to publicly support my more recent endeavour as a Visual Artist as well as Designer. I am also so grateful to Thienny Lee Gallery, an established gallery that took on selling and exhibiting my work with such flair. Thanks to my friends, family and new collectors who came and celebrated with me, many of which purchased a painting. It felt like a big birthday party, we sold 15 out of the 30 works available - I was pretty chuffed with such a positive outcome for my very first exhibition. Big thanks to all!

BY THE SEA - a new exhibition of works that capture the flora, fauna and breezy atmosphere of holidays by the sea - opening Friday 5 August until 5 September at the Southern Highlands Artisans Collective (SHAC), (detail of The Tody Bird and the Dragon Fly 3, 63x 63cm, acrylic on canvas, framed in Tasmanian Oak)

I am right back into the thick of painting and finishing off the collection that I began creating in May for my August exhibition - BY THE SEA at the Southern Highlands Artisans Collective, Robertson, NSW. This is my first foray into landscapes/seascapes and I am loving the potential this collection has for both inland and seaside collectors. BY THE SEA captures playful and poignant moments of family seaside holidays. Each painting has been inspired by my early childhood memories of chasing birds, catching fish and unearthing beach treasure over Australian summers. Working with impasto, acrylic and collage, I have created touching landscapes of whimsy and memory. I really hope that you’ll take a trip out to the Southern Highlands in August and enjoy viewing the work as much as I have creating them. I’ll be at the gallery most Sundays, so send me an email here and let me know when you are coming - I’d love to see you! - SHAC details

BOAT HARBOUR SET including, Boat Harbour 1, 2 & 3. It will now cost less, when you purchase a SET of works from my website.

SETS COLLECTOR SALE - I have selected a series of works that look great in either duo or triptych collections and created SETS that you can purchase as 2 or 3. Each set contains a generous saving passed on from the singular price for buying 2 or 3 at the same time. I have created SETS to help both you and me - you’ll get more Julie Lynch art for your money, and I’ll be able to spend less time, promoting, packing and shipping artwork and more time painting - we all WIN!!! As a launch to celebrate this opportunity, I will be offering 20% off to my VIP COLLECTOR LIST for 24 hours from this Friday 24 June at 6pm - till Saturday 25 June at 6pm (Sydney time). If you are not already on my VIP list, then please join here. You’ll receive the CODE and link this Friday at 6pm. As it’s just in time for the end of financial year, your new art might qualify for a TAX deduction. (Did you know that if you own a small/medium sized business with an annual turnover less that $500 million, you may be eligible for an INSTANT Tax Write off for purchases of up to $150,000.00 - please consult your TAX PROFESSIONAL), I do hope you’ll take a visit.

BLOG promotion for Julie Lynch on ARTIST LANE Launch, Tuesday 21 June, 2022

ARTIST LANE - In my last Studio-News I promised that I would share the launch of my collaboration with ARTIST LANE. I am super-excited that we launch today at 8pm. I have just been sent the EDMs, and I am thrilled about what they have created. It is enlightening for me to see my work presented by a team of designers who are experts in presenting art for interiors. I am so thrilled with how my collection looks! ARTIST LANE is an Australian company providing open edition reproduction art prints. They have carefully curated a collection of artworks (in this case my work!) to suit all home decor needs and interior designs. Each artwork can be reproduced into a giclée print or a canvas print available in different sizes and frames. I love the quality and the choice of sizes and frames available at ARTIST LANE, while it’s not an original, it is the next best thing - and you have so much choice when it comes to designing your interior in terms of scale and colour. My collection launch can be found here from 8pm tonight! Enjoy!!!

The AFFORDABLE ART FAIR at Randwick Racecourse, both VIVIDA works sold by Thienny Lee Gallery.

AFFORDABLE ART FAIR - As an exhibiting artist I attended the Champagne Opening Night of the Affordable Art Fair. While I was super pleased to sell both works at the exhibition, I also loved seeing all the visiting gallery collections. I’ve been following a bunch of interstate artists for some time now and only being able to view their work on a small screen, so it was fabulous to be able to see their work in the flesh. I am also convinced that the Affordable Art Fair really does attract motivated collectors and they achieve this by exhibiting a really great collection of diverse and exciting talent. This was the first time that Affordable Art Fair came to Sydney, so if you didn’t make it this year, then I highly recommend you get yourself there in 2023!

Saving the best SETS to last - MY PERFECT SET OF GRANDCHILDREN: Penelope - 6 months, Zander - 7.5 months and Clementine - 22 months - all super adorable, but not on sale!
